If you haven't been past our little shop at night, you've missed a treat. Last night we took this picture, dodging both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, so you too could enjoy the sight.

If you look closely, you may notice the amazing x-ray light box we have in stock (now SOLD). It's a vintage Stanford, made in Australia. Demi johns, terracotta pots, cloches and botanical offerings also fill out the workbench.

Our mailing list has now reached over 130, a great effort. Stay tuned for our Autumn newsletter, its nearly on it's way to you.

Please note: Our shop will be closed this weekend for the Labour Day holiday (Saturday 10 - Monday 12 March). We will re-open 10am Tuesday 13 March.

Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we have decorated our window display to suit.

I think the vintage workbench just looks gorgeous with the pink foxgloves in white ceramic vases, the candy jars filled with pink marshmallows and the glass vases that look amazing no matter what flowers they hold. Then in store there's the perfume bottles, the glass candlesticks and loads of different bell jars.

But it's not all feminine. For the gents we have a great range of vintage tools, stationery, steampunk devices, mini books from Arcade publications and industrial pieces.

Walls come down - walls go up again

Ahh the fun of renovating a shop.

Saturday was well spent cladding the wall of the corner office, back room part of the store, as well as some fine filling and sanding work by our good friend and store sign writer Mitch. With only one piece of timber left to put up and a few spots to sand, we will be into the painting after easter.

Before we left the shop on Saturday, we did have time to instal our first window display, a big old funnel hanging in the window over an old cast iron outdoor table.

So now passers buy will peek in and wonder 'what sort of store sells old funnels and tables?

Ours of course!
